Dear Parents/Carers
I am delighted to share the final Ofsted report from Gusford’s recent inspection. We are extremely proud that the school was judged as Outstanding in Personal Development and as Good in all other areas. This is a hugely significant achievement for the whole school community, as it is the first time in Gusford’s history that we have received an overall “Good” judgement. I attach the Ofsted report from before Christmas.
I would like to thank everyone involved and mention, in particular, the support we have received from our parents, all of whom have played an important part in this achievement. We are much more likely to succeed when we work together with a common goal.
We are pleased of course, that the hard work of the children, the governors and the staff, especially Mrs Hopkins, Mrs Garner and Mrs Madsen, our Academy Improvement Lead, has also been recognised but we also know we still have much to do.
We have lots of interesting ideas and new initiatives that we are keen to share with you over the next few years. It really is an exciting time for Gusford and this report will help us to ensure that the school, along with the support of the Active Learning Trust, continues to develop and prosper in the future.
